In 2011 a Community Project was undertaken to create and interactive facility to proved the town's residents with a source of Local History and Community activities.
This unit was located in the Foyer of the Palace Theatre and became known as "The POD At The Palace".
In 2025 planned changes to the utilisation of space in the Theatre Foyer has let the POD to be relocated.
It was essential that the data on the POD was secured and hence it has been added to the Redditch Virtual Museum site.
