Redditch has a long history stretching back to the 14th century despite being designated a "New Town" in 1964.

Today it is a prosperous, green, multi-cultural town supporting a population of over 85,000.

Redditch has always welcomed immigrants of all races and nationalities who, over the years, have come to the town for a variety of reasons.
Therefore its history an heritage reflects  this diverse source and needs to be recorded, saved and promoted for the benefit of future generations.

Much of that history an heritage is available for public scrutiny but it is held and managed by a number of organisations.

This site is one of many that attempts to catalogue and give easy access to those organisations.
