Wife Myra (Smout) (31) plus 2 children at home. On the 1911 census Myra was a widow and lived at 42 Alcester Street. On the 1891 census Albert & Myra lived in Evesham Road, Redditch. Albert died 10th February 1910 and was living 42 Alcester Street.
Had 2 working children at home. On the 1901 census she lived with her husband Albert at 42 Alcester Street and Albert was a Butcher. In the 1912 Kelly's Directory Myra was classed as Butcher, 42 Alcester Street.
Classed as Mrs Betterton in the 1914 Bennett's Directory but Myra Betterton was at this address on the 1911 census.
On the 1911 census Ernest seemed to live with his parents Frank and Rose at "The Limes", Hewell Road, Redditch, Frank was classed as Farmer and Ernest was a Butcher, slaughterman. He seemed to have a brother Alfred G. Shakles who seemed to live at 35 Alcester Street in 1940 Kelly's Directory.
