In the 1872 Post Office Directory Jonas was classed as Linen Draper, Evesham Street. In 1873 Littlebury's Directory it stated Mrs Jonas Strain, Dressmaker, 65 Evesham Street. Jonas died 8th April 1880.

Wife Mary L. (34) plus 4 children at home. On the 1891 census Dundas was lodging in Falkirk Burgh, Stirlingshire and he was an assistant Chemist. In the 1900 Kelly's Directory it had an entry for "Boots Cash Chemist" 3 Evesham Street. On the 1911 census Dundas and Mary lived in Ilford.
