Thomas Shrimpton (widower)
Thomas had son John (28) Needle Maker + daughter-in-law Ellen at home. Seems to be at this number along the Street. On the 1861 census he lived with his wife Susanna (Avery) and family in Mount Pleasant and Thomas was a Needle Manufacturer. In the 1865 Jones's Mercantile Directory of the Iron District of South Staffordshire and East Worcestershire it stated that it was Thomas Shrimpton and Son, Fancy Needle Makers, Balmoral Works, Evesham Street. In the 1870 Kelly's Directory the entry stated Thomas Shrimpton & Son, Needle Manufacturers, Evesham Street. In the 1892 Kelly's Directory Thomas Shrimpton & Son, Needle Manufacturers, 47 Evesham Street. Thomas died in 1880. On the 1881 census his son John and his wife Ellen were living at 47 Evesham Street.
Wife Ellen (Canadine) (37) plus 4 children at home. On the 1871 census he was living with his father Thomas Shrimpton a Needle Manufacturer in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on this census. In the 1884 & 1888 Kelly's Directory John was classed as a Toy Maker at 47 Evesham Street. Plus an entry for Thomas Shrimpton & Son Needle Manufacturer.
Wife Ellen (47) plus 2 working sons + 4 younger sons at home. On the 1901 census John was now a widower and classed as a retired Needlemaker and was living in Aston with several of his children. In the 1892 Kelly's Directory John is classed as Toy Maker, 47 Evesham Street. John died in 1906.

On the 1911 census they lived at the same address. In the 1896 & 1900 Kelly's Directories William was classed under Tobacconists, 47 Evesham Street.
Wife Betsey Moore (56) Assisting in business. On the 1901 census they lived at the same address. At the same address in 1914 Bennett's Directory. In the 1908 Kelly's Directory William was classed under Tobacconists, 47 Evesham Street. In the 1912 Kelly's Directory he was now a Photographer, 47 Evesham Street.
In the 1914 Bennett's Directory he was classed as W. T. Clarke. At the same address on the 1911 census.

In the 1928 Kelly's Directory Albert was classed as Fruiterer and Greengrocer 47 Evesham Street. In the 1940 Kelly's Directory he was at 53 Evesham Street. On the 1911 census an Albert Biggs 32 a Fruiterer and his wife Florry and a son Albert lived at 47 Archer Road, Redditch. In the 1904 Kelly's Directory of Worcestershire, Albert was classed as Greengrocer, 20 Alcester Street. In the 1908 Kelly's Directory of Worcestershire, Albert is classed as Greengrocer, Market Place & 7 Archer Street. In the 1912 & 1916 Kelly's Directory of Worcestershire, Albert is classed under Fruiterers and Greengrocers, Market Place and lived at 47 Archer Road.
In the 1924 Kelly's Directory they were at 41 Evesham Street. In the Midland Counties Trade Directory for 1948/49 Pearks Ltd., was classed under Grocers, 47 Evesham Street.
Moved to 36 Evesham Walk and are still trading today. Was demolished to make way for the new town.
