Evesham Street was the main commercial & retail Street in Redditch. Everyone growing
up in Redditch pre-1970 remembers, and has stories, about the shops on Evesham Street.
However for thousand’s of newcomers, and those born after the 1980’s all we know
is the Kingfisher Centre. So who lived in Evesham Street? We hope these pages will
give you an insight to answer that question. In early census records part of Evesham
Street was classified as “New End”, these records have therefore been included here
but note none of New End properties were numbered.
