On the 1871 census Jonas had his wife Elizabeth (32) + Elizabeth's parents + 1 cousin + 2 servants at home and they lived in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on early census but seem to be at this number along the street. On the 1861 census they lived in Evesham Street but no numbers stated on the early census. On the 1881 census Elizabeth was a widow and lived at 33 Beoley Road, Redditch and she was a Dressmaker and had her mother Elizabeth Perry living with her. In the 1872 Post Office Directory Jonas was classed as Linen Draper, Evesham Street. In 1873 Littlebury's Directory it stated Mrs Jonas Strain, Dressmaker, 65 Evesham Street. Jonas died 8th April 1880.

In the 1872 Post Office Henry was an Ironmonger, Evesham Street and another entry as China, Glass & Earthenware Dealer, Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebbury's Directory & Gazetteer he was an Ironmonger & China & Glass Dealer, 24 Evesham Street. Henry died 14th February 1873.
