Whilst the main streets of old Redditch, like Evesham Street are well known, what is not so well known is the maze of alley ways and “yards” which radiated off the main streets.  Many of these yards in the early days were both home and work place with many small factories, workshops and domestic homeworker sites providing much need employment.

Izods Yard is one of the most well known located behind the Plough & Harrow at the junction of Ipsley Street and Evesham Street. On these pages you’ll find details of some of the inhabitants of Izods Yard.
