Although facts are scare, one of the many “yards” off Evesham Street was Red Cow Yard home to the  Red Cow  public house.  Later the Vine Inn occupied the corner of the road with Evesham Street and so the road became known later a Vine Steet.  Logic does not continue however because the Vine Inn was demolished in 1925 and replaced by The Talbot but Vine Street changed to Worcester Road about 1891.
