Windsor Street has had other names. It was originally known as Gas Street but in the redevelopment of the town in the 1970’s the name was dropped as it route & character were changed with the building of the Redditch Ringway. It’s alignment with Hewell Road saw it’s name dropped and the name Hewell Road adopted right from the junction with Unicorn Hill.
