PERRY MILL FARM was, in days gone by, the source of perry and cider for the Bentley Estate. Fruit from its pear and apple orchards was crushed between mill stones, the upper one being rotated by means of a horse which plodded round and round the press. One of the original millstones now lies outside a corner of the farmhouse. A fragment of another forms part of a mounting block beside the driveway to the farm.
The farmhouse is an early 17th century grade 2 listed building. It is heavily timber-
Because little St Mary's Church is now surrounded the farms land the owners have kept its churchyard hedges trimmed.
