This is Allcock’s factory in Clive Road in 1970

Today the Allcock’s building nearest the camera has gone, replaced by Jewson’s and other retail outlets. The similar factory in the distance has been restored and still exists.

Johnson’s car dealership has recently closed and retirement flats are planned for the site.
