Pat Hitchen… Remembers…….First Night Nerves – Off Stage

I said I would help with Front of House for the production of ‘Jane Eyre’ performed by the then Redditch Drama Group. I stood in the foyer collecting tickets realising that no-one had told us what to do in the event of any mishaps, not knowing what seats were where, who was who and what was what!  On the first night a member of the audience was overheard saying, ‘She hasn’t a clue what she is doing’! How right he was! However, I soon learnt and ended up as Front of House Manager.”
