A new company called Facilities Management Services Ltd has been set up by the equal partners Atlantic Computers Plc and ISTEL Ltd.
The new company, headquartered in London W1, is positioning itself in the IBM and DEC facilities management market, catering for large users in the retail, leisure, financial services, manufacturing, construction and process engineering sectors.
Facilities Management will be staffed by employees from both Atlantic and ISTEL. In this vein it will be chaired by ISTEL’s managing director Chris Chiles, while the management team will be led by Tom Butler, the managing director of Atlantic Technology Services.
The company will offer customers the management of computer operations, data network services and contracted service maintenance, along with the consultancy service. Its manpower is expected to grow to over 1,000 within the next three years.
