NextBackNext to the co-op, going uphill was Mauntons (or was it Thomas Woolf? - Bit murky on this one),double fronted furniture shop, This was regarded as selling better quality furniture. The inside of the shop always seemed a bit on the dark side, but perhaps this was a reflection of the dark brown furniture they sold.
