The Palace – A Personal View

From my own point of view, from the time the Redditch Development Corporation got involved in the Palace theatre, it has been a huge financial White Elephant which has cost the citizens of this town many millions of their hard earned cash. I personally would have refused to have accepted it and ensured that it had been totally demolished. I believe it to be too small to attract top artists at a reasonable price, coupled with the fact that the seats are totally uncomfortable with limited leg room more suited either to Snow White's Seven Dwarves, or people with false legs which can easily be removed and left in the cloakroom. However a small percentage of Redditch folk have gotten much joy from it, so hey ho .. that makes it all right!
