Parachutes

Norman Neason remembers…..NextBack

“I remember parachute flares (parachutes with flares attached) coming down over the station. They looked beautiful as they came down.”

“They were made of white parachute silk. One of them landed in a tall oak tree in Brockhil Wood. In no time it had disappeared. It didn't last two minutes. In those days you made shirts and ladies' underwear out of any parachute silk you could lay your hands on.”
