The week at the Palace theatre simply flew by, and on the last night the two gentlemen congratulated me on my performance, and to reassure me of my participation in the forthcoming film, introduced me to a visiting fellow cast member, Anthony Newley who had not yet met and married Joan Collins, he studiously ignored me.  I continued with the elocution lessons for about six weeks patiently waiting for my call to stardom, then, one morning a letter arrived from Barry Faber who was appearing at St. Martin in the Fields theatre regretting that the film and I had been shelved. It was eventually produced and released in 1955, but without me, I knew there was some thing missing when I saw it
