My First Dance Partner

During these early years, my tap dancing partner was Betty Berry, shown right. Elsie Siddelie Downing taught several hundred girls to dance but Betty was among a dozen of the best tap dancers that Redditch has ever produced. The photo shown of my tap dancing class took place a generation later.
