Mavis Bennet, Millicent Phillips, Alan Styler, (Doyle E’Carte), Eric Grier (Charlie Chester Company), Eddie Crumpton, Cliff Field, Bert Bate, Muriel Griffin (who embarrassed herself on the Wilfred Pickells broadcast), Lilian Beale, Heather White, Don Hughes, John Emms, Cosmotheka, Monte Banks, Reg Dixon, Peter Jennings (the George Mitchell Singers) Jack Dillon, and the following were some of my colleagues at the Redditch Stage School, Colin Stowe (Jack Carden dancers at the London Palladium), Mary Clarke (Television Toppers), Margaret White (Macari’s Dutch Serenaders), Mervyn Francis, (with the Duggie Chapman company), Barbara Rowbottom (one half of the MacAndrews and Mills dancing act), Betty Berry (my tap dancing partner), Clarice Saunders, later known a Joy (ballerina who later had her own dancing school in the old fire station in Red Lion Street) Leslie Clarke (professional ballerina)
I have purposely left out my involvement with the theatre, except to say that I have intermittently appeared on its stage though out my life and have produced shows which many of the older residents will recall.
I hope these recollections will stir a few happy memories.
