Red lion Street to Town Centre

NextBack

Bonaker’s “General” Shop. On the other side the houses were below street level as well as a Factory and the Car Park which housed the Market on Saturdays. At the junction with Alcester Street were 2 Cottages.

On the other side of Red Lion Street we have houses along the right hand side of the street and included a Chippy, Lee’s Fish & Chips (later Ledbury’s),  an Archway and Souvenir Shop operated by Mrs Cox. Next door was a Blacksmith/Forge followed by 2 Cottages – (one was occupied by Mr & Mrs Dawson Smith) before Johnson's Paper Shop and the corner into Alcester Street.
