The Cinema and Growing Up

When we were older we used to go at nights. The programme changed three times during the week. Sunday was courting night, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was also courting night but with a different film. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were showing the big feature film, courting moved to the back row on these nights. With suitable cunning your friends could get in free via the fire exit if no one was about! During the interval the tray of ices came down with the girl struggling to balance torch, ice cream and change all at once.
