War Time Visits

NextBack

During the second world war my mother, Margaret Russell, brought her son Stewart to Birmingham Road in Redditch to play with Richard Keen, the son of Ira keen, to avaoid the bombing ib Birmingham.

I was born after the war and spent many Sunday afternoons with the Keen family enjoying reading Richard's collection of small Observers Books.  He also had many birds eggs. I remember enjoying great loos. Ira eventually moved to Cheddar in Somerset.  Richard married Glenys and moved to the Forest of Dean.
