Budding Musicians

NextBack

When in my teens I played in a group, as many of my friends did. I was never going to make a musician, but we used to practice  in an upstairs room at the Warwick arms, where they had a small semi circular stage.

We also used to practice in a small room in Pumphouse Lane near the Church at Webheath. It was owned by the Church and the Reverend Fred Coley (Lovely man! Smoked a pipe and collected traction engines) used to rent it out to us, till he discovered we played the "devils music"!
