Chuch Green South of Peakman Str.

We must also rememnber that there is another bit of Church Green East – that portion  after No.20 and on the other side of Peakman Street eventually joining the top of Alcester Street. The map shows where.

I recall that No.21 was c1949 a Cycle Dealers known as Jacksons (I remember the smell of rubber cycle tyres) who later moved into Evesham Street and the shop was then occupied by Webb and Sons Ltd from which they sold seeds and corn. I loved to watch a man called Foley Field working in the shop packing seed potatoes into brown paper bags and sealing them with tape.
