Up to the minute fashion was catered for in the late fifties and early sixties by Fredericks, who specialised in fluorescent socks and suits for Teddy Boys. I remember the local pin-up girl 'Dodie' worked there, usually wearing extremely short mini skirts from which her extremely 'lucky legs' protruded (so thin they were lucky they didn't break – as the local lads used to say). To be seen out with her was every young man's dream, and I believe she fulfilled her potential in that sphere most admirably!
