The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 8th December 1917, The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 3rd November 1917 and The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 28th September 1918 - They state that he was wounded and Missing and then Killed in action.  His family had to wait over 12 months to find out that he had been killed.
