The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 27th July 1918, states that he was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during lengthy operations in command of his trench mortar battery.  At this time he was also classed as Temp. Lieut. (Actg. Capt.).  The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 7th September 1918, states Mr Charles Harrison, Chaceley, Feckenham Road, Headless Cross, has received intimation this week that his son, Temporary Lieut. (Acting Capt.) N. Clive Harrison, Royal Warwick regt., has been awarded a bar to the Military Cross.
