Birmingham Gazette – Saturday 20th March 1915, states that Mrs Huins, wife of Mr Sydney L. Huins, head of the firm of J. Huins and Son, boot factors, Redditch, Northfield, and Evesham, leaves England for France on Wednesday next to take up military nursing duties. At one time Mrs Huins was matron of the Smallwood Hospital, Redditch.
