The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 3rd July 1915 - Military honours were accorded at the funeral on Wednesday of Private C. Maries, of the 8th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, formerly of Redditch, who died in a London hospital following wounds received in action.
