The Redditch, Bromsgrove and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 18th September 1915, states that he was the youngest son of the late Mr Victor Milward of the Holloway, Redditch. He had joined the Indian Army in 1897 and had done a lot of fighting on the Indian frontiers.
