The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 18th May 1918 - Private Albert Swaithe, Machine Gun Corps; Headless Cross, formerly of Bromsgrove – Private Albert Swaithe, of the Machine Gun Corps, formerly attached to the Machine gun Section of the Royal Warwicks, son of Mr and Mrs Frederick Swaithe of Headless Cross, near Redditch, and up to recently of the strand Bromsgrove, was killed in action on March 27th.
