Formerly 15080, Worcestershire Regiment.  He died in hospital in Carlisle.  He was awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal.

Son of Mr and Mrs William Ashfield of Redditch, husband of Evelyn May Ashfield of 2 Unicorn Hill, Reddtch.

The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 20th May 1916, which states that at this time he was wounded.
