He entered France on 27th May 1915.  He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal and the 1915 Star.

On the 1911 census Frederick Tibbetts aged 19, was a boarder at 47 Dawlish Road, Bournbrook, Northfield and employed as a Cycle Frame Filler.
