Moons Moat Redditch Heritage
Moons Moat is a scheduled Ancient Monument in the heart of Redditch New Town. Luckily
when the Redditch Development Corporation laid out the new town they recognised this
important site and sympathetically incorporated in the new town plans.
Little is written in the history of the area about how and why this moated house came to
be where it is and who lived there. This book attempts to answer some of these questions.
A simplistic depiction of Moons Moat although its remoteness
amongst the trees was probably accurate.
