Church Green Today
Whilst we lost Evesham Street, and parts of Alcester Street, as well as the run down areas in the centre such as George Street, Walford Street and Red Lion Street, we are very lucky
that some of the prettier areas of the old town remain. Pedestrianisation, paving and planting have given us a very pretty Church Green area. The main concern being the loss of local
traders and, as with many towns, the congregation of estate agents, bookies, banks and charity shops in this area. There is not an easy solution to this but one the Town Centre Partnership
is working on.
