The next stage of the world congress will be half day school workshops across
               Worcestershire schools, organised with Worcestershire Youth Music's support.
               Two workshops are being held in Redditch on October 16, one at Astwood Bank First School
               in Church Road in the morning and the other at St Luke’s First School in Plymouth Road
               during the afternoon.
               The dulcimer instruments are from the zither family and are struck with sticks or plucked.
               The Dulcimer World Congress is running from October 26 to 29 at Malvern St James School in
               Malvern.

               Saddle up for Redditch Operatic Society’s Calamity Jane at the Palace -
               2015

               THE Deadwood Stage rolled in to the Palace Theatre this week with Redditch Operatic
               Society presenting a true classic – Calamity Jane.
               Made famous by the 1953 musical film starring Doris Day and Howard Keel, the troupe are
               delighted to present the classic, musical comedy in this colourful and lively new production.
               Featuring the famous songs The Black Hills of Dakota, The Deadwood Stage, Windy City and
               Secret Love, this feel‐good show will delight every member of the family.
               But you must be quick – grab your cowboy – or cowgirl – hats and join Calamity and friends
               on a rootin’, tootin’ and mighty wild adventure this weekend before the team roll out of
               Redditch tomorrow.
               The show, runs at 7.30pm tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) evening and there will
               be a matinee performance tomorrow at 2.30pm.
