Disney musical comes to Redditch for the first time - 2010

FOR the first time ever, a Disney musical is coming to the Palace Theatre stage.
Beauty and the Beast, a full-scale musical production based on one of Disney’s best-loved
animated feature films, has been released to companies in the UK for the first time by the
Walt Disney Company.
Presented by Redditch Operatic Society and costing £30,000, the musical promises to be a
spectacle to remember.
It will have more than 60 cast members, a huge set, a number of different costumes, a full
orchestra and even special effects.
A spokesman from the theatre said: “This production will be the most lavish, spectacular and
technically elaborate show ever performed by Redditch Operatic Society.
“It is guaranteed to enchant and enthral every member of the family so don’t miss out - book
your tickets today.”
Tickets for the show, which runs from November 16 - 20, cost £14 to £15 and are available
from the theatre box office in person or by calling 65203.
