Mavis Bennett married Stanford Robinson in 1926 in the Bromsgrove area.

(Stanford Robinson was the brother of Eric Robinson conductor and broadcaster.
Stanford Robinson conducted several time at the Proms. From 1932-1946 Stanford
was conductor of the BBC Theatre Orchestra. He was also a composer and arranger.
He later married the soprano Lorely Dyer and had 1 daughter.)
