NextBackAs I have said, I was born at No.2 Wellington Street in 1944. Wellington Street is literally just around the corner to Church Green East. Church Green, or Chapel Green as it was originally known, was the old town centre. So I grew up a stone's throw from the heart of the town and well remember the shops at the back of where we lived.
