Redditch Heritage Bus History
The Journey
In 1915 the journey time from Birmingham Bull Ring to Alvechurch was 45 minutes, but
an extra ten minutes was allowed on the return journey in order to cope with Hopwood
"bank".
By 1925 the Birmingham terminus had changed from Bull Ring to Station Street and the
service through Alvechurch was renumbered 126.
The timing point in Alvechurch was the White Swan and the journey both to and from
Birmingham was 45 or 47 minutes.
