Traffic flow predictions were also made
based on the planned new roads in the
town.
This diagram from the master plan
shows the predicted relationship
between workers and jobs into the
future: First in 1980, (i.e. at the end of
the main expansion of the
infrastructure) and again 30 years later.

We do not know if new figures were
taken in 2010 to compare with these
projections, but it is evident today that
the road system is coping well with
traffic volumes. This is despite
unforeseen circumstances such as the
1970s oil crisis and two economic
crashes which have sent the economy
into depression.
