John’s proposal as the way forward was to create BL systems department as an
independent organisation BL Systems Limited. This
would free it from the restrictive pay scales, distance
itself from the organised labour induced
low morale and enable addition income to
fund the function from the sale of
systems and services to outside
organisations.
After two or three years
debate, this
plan was
acc
ept
ed
and
BL
Systems
Limited was
created.
