Frederick Windsor
4th Baron Windsor
1559 - 1585
Life and Times of Frederick Windsor
Son of Edward and Katherine - unmarried.
Little seems to be known of Frederick. He entered the middle temple in 1579/80.
However, he was connected - as were most nobles - to Elizabeth I. He was one of the
defenders at The Barriers for Monsieur a mock tournament staged on New Year's Day
1582 at the court of Elizabeth. Among the challengers were Monsieur, brother to the
French King, plus the earls of Leicester and Sussex. Exalted company indeed.
