However, the lapse of the title, earl of Plymouth with the
death of Other Archer Windsor is not the end of the tale.
Other Archer's sister Lady Harriet had married Robert
Clive and in 1855 the barony of Windsor was brought out Lady Harriet Windsor-Clive.
of abeyance in favour of his widow Harriet who became
the dowager baroness Windsor.
Robert Clive was a successful politician serving in the
cabinet. He was also a wealthy landowner and
businessman. Clive died in 1854 aged 65 and was buried
at Bromfield parish church close by the family home of
Oakley Park near Ludlow, Shropshire.
Harriet and Robert had several children one of whom was
another Robert who, like his brother George, took the
name Windsor-Clive.

George Bridgeman 2nd earl of Bradford.
Children: 1 son Robert George and 3 daughters.
Educated Eton and St John's Cambridge.
Conservative politician MP for Ludlow 1852-54; MP for
Shropshire South 1854 -59.
Commissioned Captain in Worcestershire Yeomanry 1848;
succeeded his father as Lieutenant-Colonel in 1854.
