Redditch People
Ellen Stanley (1843 - ?)
Henry (Harry) Eugene Stanley (1846 -1909) in 1866 married Eliza Millward (1849 – 1916)
who had
three children, Harry Eugene, Ivy F, and Walter Morton.
All of the children had left the parental home by 1871. William was living in Headless Cross
and
Henry in Alcester Street.
William Morton Stanley in 1870 married Mary Jane Thomas daughter of James and Mary
Thomas
of 34 Clive Road (needle manufacturing). By 1881 he was a commercial traveller for his
father.
They had no children
By 1891 William and Henry had moved to property in Webheath Lane
At the sale of the Sillins Estate around 1912 William bought Upper Grinsty Farm where he
lived
until his death in 1924.
The land was given to the people of Redditch in perpetuity.
