computers, a recording studio and soundproofed practice rooms, while they also have
plans to replace windows, facades and the roof coverings on two of the main school
buildings.

Marian Barton, head teacher said: ““The school is delighted that John has found time in
his very hectic schedule to open our new music suite. We appreciate that with the
Olympic concert in Hyde Park in July and the launch of his autobiography, ‘In the Pleasure
Grove: Love, Death and Duran Duran’, this month, this has been a busy time.

“Music is a popular subject at Trinity with the number of students choosing to study it at
key stage 4 and post 16 increasing every year. This state of the art music suite will
provide our students with plenty of opportunities to both perform, compose and produce
music.”

Mr Taylor attended the former Abbey High School, which was closed in 2001 as part of a
reorganisation of schools in Redditch, and Trinity was opened on the same site.

Harry Edward Styles was born 1st February 1994 in
Redditch. He auditioned as a solo artist on X-Factor
in 2010. After being eliminated as a solo singer he
was brought back into the competition with four
other contestants to form the group that later
became known as One Direction.
