Presentation to Redditch D.C.M. – Lance Corporal T. C. Fox, 8 Battalion
Worcestershire Regiment (Territorials), whose home is at Redditch, was on Monday
afternoon presented with a marble clock and a framed address by the directors and
employees of the Redditch “Indicator” Company (Limited), in recognition of his gallantry in
June last, when he risked his life in attempting to recover the body of Lieutenant Malcolm
Kerwood, of the same regiment, who was killed while conducting a reconnoitring party. For
his bravery on that occasion Lance-corporal Fox was awarded the Distinguished Conduct
Medal. He was himself severely wounded in the arm. The presentation was made by Lieut-
Colonel C. F. Milward, chairman of the Board of Directors, Fox having been one of the
employees of the company prior to the outbreak of the war.
