               Foxlydiate Man Killed – Mr and Mrs Clayton, of Tack Cottage, Foxlydiate, have
               received official information that their son Lance-corporal W. Clayton, of the Worcestershire

               Regiment, was killed in action on August 25 , last.  The deceased non-commissioned officer
               was 22 years of age.

               Thiepval, Memorial, Picardie, France.)
               (On 1911 census Arthur William Clayton lived with his parents William and Harriet at Tack Farm, Foxlydiate.
               His brother Albert John died in 1917.)
