Redditch Man wins Military Medal – The Military Medal has been awarded to
Acting-Sergeant Albert James, son of Mr Paul James, 36 Glover Street, Redditch. The winner
of the medal was called to the colours in August, 1914. He is twenty one years of age, and
was a carpenter at Huins and Seden, Ltd., Redditch, previous to which he was employed as a
telephone messenger at Redditch Post Office. He had also been a member of St Stephen’s
Church Choir, Redditch.
